We guarantee our costumes to please or we will refund the cost of the garment (not shipping) if the garment has not been worn, is the same quality as when it was shipped, and it is within 10 days after the initial purchase.

All our costumes are made of cotton/polyester fabric.  Cotton fabric fades, shrinks, and must be ironed often.  Polyester fabric doesn’t breathe and will cling which is too warm for active clowns.  Over the years of this company we find a cotton/polyester blend to be the best choice due to its easy care, comfort, and little or no ironing. 

In order for your costume to live up to its potential we recommend a cold water wash at a gentle cycle and line dry.  The preferred detergent that we recommend is Liquid Blue Cheer available at your grocery store.  Before you wash your costume it is suggested that you remove your buttons.  All of Costumes by Betty’s buttons are pinned on which makes it easy to remove them.    

Whatever, you do, DO NOT bring your costume to a drycleaner.  It’s too hard on your costume and will break the fibers in the fabric down quicker.  Most likely your costume will be ruined.

Watch for our monthly newsletter.  It will notify of any changes in our website, new products, procedures, or specials of the month.  News items of the clown world, past experiences, and stories will also be noted.  We welcome responses to our newsletters. We would love to hear from you!

Gift Certificates are a wise choice for all clowns as it is very difficult to know exactly what their special requirements.  Gift certificates are available in any amount at any time. 

Birthday, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or any special occasion. 

Ordering Process

All orders are preferred to be taken over the telephone because there are many details within our ordering process.  We also find there to be less mistakes and better results for our customers.  However, we do take orders by fax and email if a customer would prefer these methods. 

How do I place my order for a costume?

To order a costume you will need the following:

If you know what style of costume you desire that is great.  If you don’t know what type of costume would work best for you definitely give us a call and we will help you find the type of costume that fits you best. 

If there are any questions about which measurements are needed please refer to our measure sheet for easy to follow directions. 

Once we discuss which style of costume is right for you then we will proceed to discuss all of the possible details our costumes contain.  We will ask for color preferences to be used within the costume.  We will ask about any special requests you have or we will design an original look for you. 

We will ask for means of payment usually a charge card number or a check to be sent before we send the order.
